Function / Content

This series consists of applications for mining leases for mining concerns (including gold and mineral leases) in Central Australia; regions covered include Arltunga, the Davenport Ranges, The Granites, Tanami, Tennant Creek and Winnecke. Included with some applications are related correspondence and Gazettal notices as well as numerous related mining forms. These forms include copies of statutory declarations, notices of withdrawal of application for a lease and applications for the substitution of name of applicant for mining lease. Many applications refer to Tennants Creek rather than Tennant Creek. The applications are vertically folded dockets for which the back of the application for mining lease form functions as the cover of the docket.
